Sargent Electrical Services is a family business founded in 1991, based in Beverley, East Yorkshire, employing in excess of 100 people. Initially producing bespoke electrical wiring harnesses and associated cable assemblies, the product line rapidly expanded and now includes complete electrical systems for caravans, motor-homes, leisure vehicles through to comprehensive building wiring solutions supplying systems for office, hospitals airports & retail sectors and tracking/telematics technology for caravan, motorhome and other industries.

To provide products, services and to engage in recruitment activities we need to hold personal information about you and in this Privacy Notice we will:

WHAT TYPES OF PERSONAL DATA DO WE COLLECT?

We will collect certain Personal Identifiable information about you in the course of your relationship with us.

For Customers/and/or enquiries the persona data we collect is:

Name, address, contact number(s), email address, vehicle details, transaction history, customer support history, payment details, billing address, and dependant on product/services purchased or subscribed to: asset tracking, location and usage data and when you subscribe to our apps you will be asked to add your date of birth.

Recruitment and selection the personal data we collect is:
Name, email address, contact details, employment/work history, education skills, reference information, information about you, such as hobbies and interests and in some circumstances and where legitimate sensitive data such as Health information will be collected, as well as proof of eligibility to work which can contain ethnicity, marital status, gender, race and place of birth information and in some circumstances may hold your parents names, occupations and places of birth.

Onsite visitors the personal data we collect:

Name and contact details

Telephone system call recordings – we record for training, performance and quality purposes

HOW DO WE STORE YOUR INFORMATION?

We only process your information within the UK and European Economic Area (EEA) apart from when you the customer may travel outside the UK and EEA and use our technology applications. We take all necessary precautions when designing our products and our servers are located within the UK and EEA.

Where your information is not stored on the cloud or electronically, we store your information in locked and authorised areas only. With limited and authorised personnel access only. Our personnel are trained in GDPR and Data Protection and each employee carries out an effectiveness test of Data protection/GDPR knowledge. Employees who work from home have a risk assessment carried out to ensure they are handling and storing data safely. Our systems have perimeter firewalls, and email encryption, and we carry out penetration testing and vulnerability scanning.

International transfers - We share your personal data within relevant departments of Sargent Electrical Services Limited, in which it resides in the UK. In general, the personal data that we collect from you will be stored at a destination within the UK or European Economic Area (EEA).

Some card/payment transactions are made outside the UK and EEA. When choosing Card Payment providers – we do look to enter into service arrangements with organisations that take data security seriously. Any payment transactions will be encrypted, card payment processing security strictly complies with PCI DSS compliance.
